Apple Xcode Download Slow

Fyi i don t think the slow down has to do with mojave 10 14 2 since i was experiencing the same issue with high sierra and xcode 10 which is the reason i upgraded to mojave thinking that xcode 10 would run smoother in the newest operating system. And this is on my 2014 retina mbpro with ssd. Rolling back to xcode 9 woun t help.

Xcode needs powerful machines especially for interface builder storyboards is very slow. This version includes the sdks for ios 14 ipados 14 macos catalina tvos 14 and watchos 7. Is there something else going on when copying it.

I know it is several gigs but still. You either have too little memory or slow cpu perhaps both. Why does xcode run so slow.

Computer has a fusion drive. Only time machine helps. And you really need 16 gb memory and as fast hard disk as you can get.

To that end do not use any other source other than the mac app store to download xcode. I am downloading xcode 3 6 and it is moving at a nonspeed of 50kb sec. Here are the specs of my computer.
